| TIP: To improve visibility
in bright light conditions, Tap the View Black & White option - this will
cause the lines and text to stand-out. TIP: To
view Match files in date order when browsing, tap the Date button. To see
more of the File names, stretch out the Name column.
TIP: Mark the position of Serves (and Returns)
particularly carefully - the analysis will only be as good as the input.
Make use of the auto-tap facility so you can watch the rally immediately
after tapping-in the shot.
Q: How do I use ProTracker Tennis for a doubles
match?
A: Simply include a '+' or '&' symbol between the names of the player's
in each pair. ProTracker Tennis will then know its a doubles match and make
prompts accordingly.
Q: I'm having trouble keeping up with the match,
are there any tips to help? A: Turn off Return-of-Serve tracking,
this facility makes it much harder to track a match - you could turn it on
again, when you're really skilled. Make full use of the auto-tap facility -
to record an 'In' serve just tap once where the ball lands and look back at
the play, the auto-tap will click the 'In' option for you. You can adjust
the auto-tap delay if you want. Some users prefer not to tap-in the 'In'
serves as they are played, but instead remember where the ball bounces and
tap in the serve and key shot at the end of the point.
Q: While tracking what should I do if I miss a
point or game but I don't know who won it?
A: Select Missed Point/Game to ? - even though the score will be wrong
the players positions should be correct; when its obvious who won the point
or game you missed, then use the Missed Point/Game again to assign it
correctly.
Q: Why does ProTracker Tennis distinguish between
Passing shots and Winners (and Out or Netted Passing Shots)?
A: This is so it can produce figures for successful and unsuccessful
Net-Approaches.
Q: How do I record Winning shot that forced a
volley error, there being no bounce point for the shot?
A: The best way to do this is to Tap at the point the ball would have
bounced and mark it as a Passing Shot.
Q: How do I move match files between the Windows
Mobile device
and my PC?
A: Press the Explore button on ActiveSync, then Browse the match file
folder. Copy, or Cut, and Paste the files to the match file folder on the
PC.
TIP: If you want match files to be synchronized
automatically between your PC and device, create a folder in your
ActiveSync Files location and change the Match File Folder location setting
on the PC version to this, using the 'Sync Folder' button. Please see the step by step instructions
here.
Q: How do I e-mail a Match file to someone?
A: Launch your e-mail program and create a new mail message. Press the
button to add an attachment and browse to the match file folder, select the
match or matches you want. This is only useful if the person receiving the
file also has ProTracker Tennis.
Q: How do I convert my trial copy to a full
version?
A: When you buy ProTracker Tennis you will be sent a full activation
key. Press Help->About and enter this key in place of the evaluation key
shown.
Q: Are there any hidden "Cheats" in ProTracker
Tennis?
A: Yes, you can play a match automatically. Tap the Tennis Racket on the
Score screen then select an option from the pop-up menu. Kids love this
feature - they can pit themselves against the top players and see who wins.
Q: Can I ensure I don't lose the ProTracker Tennis software and all my
matches if I suffer a total battery lose?
If your device has an SD of CF memory card ProTracker Tennis can be
installed on this instead of the main PDA memory. This type of memory does
not need any power so will survive a total battery loss.
To do this, select ‘No’ when the installer prompts you to install the
software in the default location, and when prompted select the Memory card
as the location instead. To save match files to the Memory Card you go to
Options > Settings > Advanced > Folder form Match Files - and tap in a
location of the card in the – for example:
\CF Card\ProTracker Tennis
or
\SD-MMCard\ProTracker Tennis |
